AI Application Engineer for a Sustainability SaaS
We are looking for a Senior AI Application Engineer to join our team.
Your responsibility will be to analyse, design and implement production-grade AI systems and agent workflows that enhance our SaaS platform. In particular, you will design and implement AI agents, AI copilots, and intelligent automation that improve the customer experience and support environmental impact analysis.
You will work closely with Product Managers and software developers to translate ideas and requirements into robust technical solutions integrated into the One Click LCA platform. Your work will include developing LLM-based agents, AI-assisted modelling tools, and data extraction capabilities that help users analyse and improve environmental performance.
You will play a key role in shaping how AI capabilities are designed and implemented across the platform.
In this role, you will also promote best software development practices across the team, support colleagues in improving their technical approach, and help resolve complex technical challenges. Your contribution will help ensure that our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the overall platform architecture.

This full-time, permanent position is available on a hybrid basis for candidates based in Helsinki or on a remote basis for candidates based in Europe.
What you need:
Minimum 5 years of experience working with AI-related projects and systems
Experience building AI agents or LLM-driven workflows, for example, using frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChainStrong understanding of modern LLMs, including prompting strategies, evaluation methods, and model selection
Experience implementing AI copilots, agent workflows, or retrieval-based AI systems
Ability to fine-tune purpose-specific models or select the most appropriate approach or algorithm for the problem at hand
Strong Python programming skills required to build production-grade AI solutions
Understanding of performance, maintenance, and security considerations when deploying AI systems
Experience integrating AI solutions into real-world software products
Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, AI, or Machine Learning
Good communication skills, as you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
Fluent in written and spoken English, as it is our working language
Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure is beneficial
